Alex and Zach Month 4

Where has the time gone!? It seemed like only yesterday I was at the boys' 3 month shoot! And then Marcie called to tell me it's the time of the month (for the boys). Boys are soooo cute ... a little grumpy at times but still a whole lot of cute! I used an SB600 which helped a lot. I also shot in shutter mode as the boys like to wiggle and move ... A LOT. I got some really good close-ups this time ... here are the favorites:

Alex and Zach month 3

The boys can smile!!!!! This time my hubby tagged along to help out with the calming down of the babies and try and give Marice a hand! Her sister has gone back to school, so it's just Marcie vs the babies. I still don't know how she does it! One of the boys does seem to have taken to hubby, and is quite content to fall asleep on him ...

Fun with a Lightbox

I recently made my own lightbox for product photography. It's tricky when you don't have the proper lighting and are trying to use a desk lamp to light your products! I had some fun photographing whatever was laying around the house. :)

Alex and Zach 2-month shoot

The boys are getting big!!!! They have the most gorgeous dark blue-gray eyes. Their eyelashes are just starting to grow. They are looking a lot like their dad now. We took most of the shots in the Knoxes den, now converted into a playroom. It had a lot of good natural light. We also had a very interested guest subject (Furball) during the shoot. The boys' Clemson outfits were a little tight but we just had to dress them up with the matching booties and take some photos for Grandma and Grandpa! The boys were definitely intrigued with 'the big black thing that goes click click' but it's still pretty tricky to try and make them smile or pose for the camera. Can't wait for the next month's shoot!

Jia Hui and Yew Chen

I've known Jia Hui for years, since we were 12!! I was so happy to find out that she was getting married and even more excited when I was able to shoot their engagement photos! Since it was so hot outdoors we settled for indoor shooting. I was able to use some really interesting low indoor lighting with some natural lighting from outside. The couple was a little bit shy but their smiles said it all and how they felt about each other! Congratulations to you both!!!

Alex and Zach (1 month)

I photographed the twin boys again at 1 month. Unfortunately the poor things were being fussy that morning despite having a good night's sleep! I felt bad having to sit them up/down and lay them in different positions. Well actually, their mom did that. :) I don't think we got them both with their eyes open, one would always be sleeping, even sitting up! We shot these in their great room, which has large windows, letting in a lot of natural light. It did get a little cloudy outside and I had to adjust the exposure but I think we got some really cool shots!! Here are my favorites:

Playing with light

I've been trying to use available natural lighting to make my photos look more 'deep' and interesting. Or I guess, trying to add depth, is the correct term. Here are some of shots around the house, with the last one being outdoors.

Playing with Sights and Scenery

I was lucky enough to go to the UK a couple of months ago for a business trip. When I was there, I took some shots of London and Chester. I've been to London many times but never with a photographer's eye (or attempted!). London had the best weather in the last few times I was there; sunny, cloudless, perfect.

Here's a cool graffiti roll-up door and my best friend:

A beautiful tree-lined street in London with very English town homes:

Below is a street in Chester at night. I love how the street lamps give a peaceful glow:

Alex and Zach

We visited friends of ours today that recently had twin boys! Even though it wasn't a photoshoot, I couldn't resist capturing the 2-week-olds! Alex has a bigger head than Zach and they both have the cutest expressions ever. I can't wait to photograph them again.

Landon

I had a chance to photograph a good friend's 9-month old recently. Landon has strawberry blond hair and the most beautiful eyes. He's a very active baby and recently learned to pull himself up on tables, people's legs, chairs .... which made it a little hard to photograph him but it was fun anyway! Landon loves to smile and laugh too, which made it interesting for capturing all different faces!
